What is the MRCAA

As an alliance of dedicated contractors, suppliers and manufacturers, the Metal Roofing and Cladding Association of Australia (MRCAA) represents the interests of the Metal Roofing Industry as a whole.

Formed in 1971, the Association has been instrumental in raising the status and standard of the industry through its connection with other trade associations, government decision-making bodies and educational organisations.

The Association's Executive comprises a President, a Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary who are required to be Contractor Members. A Committee supports the running of the Association of both Contractor Members and Associates. Regular meetings are conducted for any Member of the Metal Roofing and Cladding Industry to present a point of view, demonstrate a new product and/or discuss industry issues and updates on such matters as Industrial Relations, WHS and Code Compliance.

The MRCAA conducts their AGM in October each year where all elected officials vacate their positions and the newly elected Executive are appointed for the ensuing year.

The Association has for some years promoted recognition for the Industry’s skills through the “Awards of Excellence” which recognise the advancing skill levels and quality of construction/installation being reached by the industry. This culminates in an Awards Presentation Evening and Annual Dinner attended by a large number of industry participants, and has become an important event in the industry calendar held in late November of each year.
